8:30 a.m. – warm snuggly alarm
9:30 a.m. – i’m having problems and they’re not called “my desk is a disaster.”
10:30 a.m. – space chickens. well, it was either this or the dog vomit.
11:30 a.m. – i sat down to finish this damn sleeve and had to get right back up again before i knitted a single stitch.
12:30 p.m. – lunch
1:30 p.m. – putting important things in the mail that require excess postage.
2:30 p.m. – two sleeves done. now for the body. … that sounded somehow ominous.
3:30 p.m. – laundry.
4:30 p.m. – had to rescue the batty girl from stormageddon.
5:30 p.m. – my “new” car plays mp3s and it is awesome. (mix tape from Red – one of many. on account of she loves me.)
6:30 p.m. – dinotopia.
7:30 p.m. – bath.
8:30 p.m. – bedtime for wee humans and also tigers that may or may not be named hobbes.

9:30 p.m. – cuppa tea, other knitting, and Blue Bloods. i heart you, Tom Selleck.
10:30 p.m. – might as well say goodnight. so. goodnight and stuff.



















5:30 a.m. clearly, i am not happy about being awake. but check out my sweet twin peaks shirt.
6:30 a.m. it was rain, then it was snow, then it was rain. i don’t know.
8:30 a.m. i got busy and forgot 7:30. you still love me. enjoy my leg lamp. (that’s the black book of communism. not some pro-communism foolishness.)
9:30 a.m. emergency slide show surgery.
10:30 or there abouts. a much needed knitting break.
11:30 a.m. my honors thesis is being featured (along with two others) in the honors college display in the student center for the next week or so.
12:30 p.m. waiting for my student to arrive to cover the desk so i can go to lunch, listening to this whacky artist who is cracking me up.
2:00 p.m. because i was busy eating at 1:30. lunch with my pop!
3:30 p.m. this isn’t gonna cut it.
4:30 p.m. almost time to blow this popsicle stand.
5:30 p.m. had to stop at the grocery store. i don’t eat yogurt. yogurt is vile.
6:30 p.m. why, yes. yes that is metallic glitter and confetti all over the living room carpet.
7:30 p.m. he had glitter in places no one should ever have glitter.
8:30 p.m. yawn.
9:30 p.m. migraine, with feather.
6 a.m. i completely forgot today was the first until about half an hour after i got up and saw my reminder message from Red.
7 a.m. had i remembered, i might have actually attempted to deal with this hair today. too bad for me.
8 a.m. i just discovered there are peppers growing in the giant planter in front of my building. i love the landscaping crew that covers our area of campus. they’re so fun. and holy wow. i literally, as i was typing this, just noticed the slug. i was so caught up in the peppers i totally missed it.
10 a.m. evidently my morning has been just as nuts as i thought, and i missed 9:00. so here’s a biggby and mah boots.
11 a.m. you should try to make your cubicle hell as interesting as possible.
noon or thereabouts. acupuncture. i always want to just stay there for the rest of the day. even though the house isn’t haunted.
1 p.m. or thereabouts. instead i have to go back to the office. whee.
2 p.m. i need some zen.
3 p.m. diet mtn. dew run. it’s probably a good thing i have to go to another building for a vending machine.
4 p.m. ish. i’m sad halloween is over for a whole entire year. well. let’s be honest. it’s never really over for jentober, is it?
5 p.m. waiting for my modern democratic theory seminar to start.
bedtime o’clock there was a gap on account of there are only 5 of us in the seminar and you can’t really take sneaky photos when there are only 5 people in your class. then i had to drive home. then i took a shower and got Stormageddon to sleep. and here we are. ‘night chickens.












i’m not giving you hours today, because to be honest, i totally lost track of what i was doing.

5:30 ish and how the hell is it september already??
6:30 something – hello darkness, my old friend. this is what my morning commute is going to look like for the next 6 months.
i have no idea what time this was – damn hell bathroom abstract.
in the neighborhood of 7:30 – walkies, charlie, walkies. it really really really bothers me that it says resident and not residence.
9 or thereabouts – you guys! it’s officially caramel apple cider season!
10:30 – work zen. velma sweater.
11:17 – a friend brought me a souvenir from the U.P. … is it totally stuck in your head now too?
12:30 – lunch, yo.
1:30 – working hard on some stuff at my standing desk that i love, but i am not wearing the most sensible shoes i own today.
2:30? 3? i don’t know. – i got nothin. ruthlessly copy-editing the first newsletter of the academic year. i’m a brutal proofer. with a leg lamp.
 4:30 – this is not my wooden name thinger.
5:30 – homeward bound.
7:30 – hello from Stormageddon. watching his favorite movie – Shaun the Sheep – for the twelvety seventh time. and it’s the cutest thing. he will act out the entire movie. i die.
8:30 – Miss W, drawing, telling me all about how she wants a wheel-y chair that spins so she can roll it down the driveway, because doesn’t that sound like an epic idea???
9:30 – goodnight ladies, ladies goodnight. except not really. i’m just signing off. smooches to you.
